Internships

Internships at Vaishalya Wellness

If you are training in psychology, counseling, social work, nursing, or public health, a placement at a working rehabilitation center teaches you what a classroom cannot. We run supervised internships in mental health and de-addiction care in the hills of Palampur, Himachal, where you learn beside a real clinical team and see recovery up close.

What You Gain

What an Internship Here Gives You

Most internships hand you a desk and a stack of files. This one puts you inside the actual work. You sit in on assessments, watch how a treatment plan is built around a person, and understand how psychiatry, counseling, nursing, and social work come together on one plan. You see how detox is handled safely, how families are brought into recovery, and how relapse prevention is planned for the months after discharge. By the end, you have seen the full arc of care, not one narrow slice of it.

Who Can Apply

Who These Internships Are For

Our internships suit students and recent graduates in fields close to mental health and recovery. You do not need to have everything figured out. What matters more is a real interest in this work, a willingness to learn, and the maturity to be around people at a vulnerable time with respect and discretion.

The Experience

What You Will Actually Do

You will be paired with members of our clinical team and given real responsibility, within your training, and always under supervision. Depending on your field and your stage, that can mean observing therapy and group sessions, supporting the daily program, helping with case notes, joining our awareness work in nearby villages, and learning what it takes to run a residential center well. We shape the placement around what you need to learn, not around busywork.

Next Step

How to Apply

Applying is simple. Send us a short note about yourself, what you are studying, and what you hope to learn, along with your resume, and tell us when you are free and for how long. We read every application ourselves and will come back to you about the fit and the next step.
