Read something that actually helps. Our resources cover how addiction starts, what withdrawal really feels like, how families can respond without breaking down, and what recovery looks like month after month. Written in plain language by the people who sit with it every day, no jargon and no lectures.

Give a few hours to people who are rebuilding their lives. Volunteers help with group activities, awareness drives in nearby communities, skill workshops and simply being present with our residents. You do not need a medical background, only patience, respect and the willingness to show up.
Volunteer with us
Do your psychology internship with Vaishalya Healing. Work beside our counsellors, observe real sessions, learn how case histories, relapse plans and family counselling actually come together, and get honest feedback on your notes. You leave with genuine clinical exposure, not just a certificate.

A moment of clarity begins here. Our discreet self-tests help you reflect on your relationship with nicotine, alcohol, drugs, or food, offering a refined first step towards awareness, bespoke care, and lasting restoration.
Self test
A simple list of what to pack before you arrive. Clothes, documents, prescribed medication, personal items, and the few things we ask you to leave at home. Going through it beforehand makes the first day calmer for you and for your family.
What to bring
We approach every enquiry with discretion and care, your first step towards personalised, transformative treatment.

How it works

The Vaishalya
Journey

Six steps from the first phone call to a life you can hold onto. Designed for women, by women, in the hills of Palampur.

01

Admissions

It starts with one call. A member of our women's care team will listen to your story, ask a few simple questions about your health, your history of use, and anything you've tried before. Nothing you say leaves that call.

Why so many questions? Because no two women walk the same road here. The more we understand on day one, the sooner your healing actually begins.

Can't reach Palampur on your own? Tell us. We'll help arrange safe transport to our centre from wherever you are.

02

Evaluation

Your first day begins with a sit-down, not a form. A doctor and counsellor meet you face to face to understand your body, your mind, and your patterns of use. From this conversation, we shape a recovery plan that belongs to you alone.

One request: hold nothing back. Half-told stories lead to half-built plans. The women who heal fastest here are the ones who arrive honest, and we make it safe to be.

Detox Treatment

The body heals first. If detox is needed, you'll begin in our quiet, women-only detox wing with nurses watching over you around the clock. Doctor-supervised medication is there to soften withdrawal whenever it's required.

Don't need detox? Then your first day is simply about arriving. Meet the team, meet the other women, unpack, breathe the mountain air. We'll help you settle in.

  • 24/7 nursing care

Your Stay

Learning to live sober, one day at a time. Group circles, private therapy, yoga on the lawn, nutrition, art, movement. Your days here are full, but never rushed. Family healing sessions bring the people you love into your recovery too.

We treat the whole woman. Anxiety, trauma, depression, whatever sits beneath the addiction, our clinical team is trained to find it and treat it alongside.

Relapse Prevention

The world outside doesn't change. You do. Before you leave, we prepare you for it. Together we map your personal triggers, the people, places, and feelings that once pulled you under, and build a toolkit of responses for each one.

And we don't stop at the gate. Ongoing counselling, help rebuilding relationships strained by addiction, and support getting back to work or study keep your footing steady in those first fragile months back home.

Living Life

Recovery inside these walls is one thing. Life is another. That's why leaving Vaishalya doesn't mean leaving Vaishalya. Every woman who completes her stay joins our alumnae sisterhood, for good.

Regular counsellor check-ins, a warm online circle, and gatherings back at the centre mean there's always a hand to hold on the hard days and someone to celebrate with on the good ones.
