Read something that actually helps. Our resources cover how addiction starts, what withdrawal really feels like, how families can respond without breaking down, and what recovery looks like month after month. Written in plain language by the people who sit with it every day, no jargon and no lectures.

Give a few hours to people who are rebuilding their lives. Volunteers help with group activities, awareness drives in nearby communities, skill workshops and simply being present with our residents. You do not need a medical background, only patience, respect and the willingness to show up.
Volunteer with us
Do your psychology internship with Vaishalya Healing. Work beside our counsellors, observe real sessions, learn how case histories, relapse plans and family counselling actually come together, and get honest feedback on your notes. You leave with genuine clinical exposure, not just a certificate.

Contact · Vaishalya Women's Wellness Centre

The first call is always the hardest.
We'll make it an easy one.

Tell us as much or as little as you want to. Whether you are asking for yourself or for a woman you love, one of our counsellors will listen properly, answer your questions, and be honest with you about whether a stay here is the right step. Nothing you say leaves this centre.

First conversation

Tell us what has been happening.

There is no script and no form you have to fill in first. Most calls start with someone saying they are exhausted, or that they are worried about a daughter, a sister, a wife. We will ask a few gentle questions about her health, her sleep, her routine and the support she has at home.

If a residential stay is not what she needs, we will say so, and point you towards counselling instead.

Morning at the centre
Before you decide

Then hear how a stay actually works.

We will walk you through an ordinary day here: guided yoga in the morning, one to one counselling, simple Ayurvedic meals, long quiet hours and a deliberately low stimulation environment built for rest rather than performance.

Stay lengths, what she should pack, how visits and phone calls work, and the full cost with nothing added later. You decide afterwards, in your own time.

Questions people
ask us first.

If yours is not here, ask it on the phone. No question is too small or too awkward, and we have almost certainly been asked it before.

Who is the centre for?

Adult women who need a structured break from daily life. Some come for recovery from substance use, others for burnout, grief, anxiety, or simply because home has stopped being a place they can rest in. It is a women only residential space, and that is not negotiable, because safety is the whole point.

Is this a de-addiction centre or a wellness stay?

Both, depending on what she needs. We run structured recovery support alongside counselling, yoga and nature based healing. What we are not is a luxury retreat. The routine here is simple, consistent and a little demanding, because that is what actually helps.

How long does a stay last?

Fifteen days is the shortest stay we recommend, since it takes about a week for sleep and appetite to settle. A month is the most common choice. Longer stays are arranged case by case after the first assessment.

What does an ordinary day look like?

Early mornings with guided yoga and breathwork, a counselling session or group work through the day, Ayurvedic inspired meals, unhurried afternoons, and early nights. Phones and screens are limited by design. The environment is deliberately low stimulation.

Can she keep working while she is here?

For wellness and reset stays, yes. We keep the space work from home friendly with fixed working windows so that it does not swallow the rest of the day. For recovery focused stays we usually ask for a proper break from work, and we will talk this through with you first.

Can family visit or call?

Yes. Visits happen on fixed days by appointment, and calls are scheduled so that they support her rest rather than interrupt it. Families are part of recovery here, not kept outside it.

What does it cost?

Fees depend on the length of stay and the room. We give you the complete figure on the first call, with nothing added afterwards. Vaishalya runs under Asha Bhupender Charitable Trust, and support is available for women who cannot manage the full amount. Please ask, it will not change how you are treated.

She does not want to come. What do we do?

This is the most common call we get. Start by speaking to us yourself. We can suggest how to open the conversation at home, and often the first step is a single counselling session rather than a stay. Nobody is admitted here against her will.

Vaishalya Women's Wellness Centre is an initiative of Asha Bhupender Charitable Trust, working on mental health, recovery and rehabilitation across Himachal Pradesh.
